The Events page enables users to create, manage, and review events, providing a comprehensive tool for public event communication and coordination.

- Primary Goal: To provide an interface for users to share important events quickly and efficiently to the community
- User Benefits: Enables users to effectively coordinate and inform the community about upcoming events and keeps a historical record of past events for reference

Best Practice: Schedule events well in advance to ensure adequate notice to the community. Regularly check the status of events to confirm they are published as intended.
Creating Events
From Scratch
- Click ‘Create New Event’ to begin drafting
- Complete the Event Settings page:
- Event name
- Location
- Event beginning time
- Event end time
- Description
- Click ‘Save’ to publish to your website’s plugin
From Template
- Click ‘Create from Template’
- Select an appropriate template from the dropdown
- Modify the template content as needed
- Save the event
Sharing Events
Event Web Link
- Navigate to the event’s Event Details page
- Click ‘Shareable Web Link’ button in the top widget
- The link will direct to your plugin on your agency’s website
Note: Share this link via email, social media, or other communication channels to promote the event
Managing Events
Editing an Event
- Click on the event from the dashboard
- Click ‘Edit Event’
- Make necessary changes
- Click ‘Save’ to update
Deleting an Event
- Click ‘Edit Event’
- Click the trash can icon at the bottom of the main widget
- Confirm deletion when prompted
Viewing Event History
Past Events
- Click ‘View Past Events’ button on the Events page
- Browse through expired events
- Access event details for reference or reporting
Event Metrics
When viewing past events, you can see:
- Attendance information (if tracked)
- Event duration
- Associated communications
- Historical patterns for recurring events
Event Display Options
Events appear on your public website with:
- Event title and description
- Date and time information
- Location with map integration (if applicable)
- Registration links (if applicable)
- Contact information for questions
Recurring Events
For events that occur regularly:
- Create the initial event
- Use it as a template for future occurrences
- Adjust dates and specific details as needed
