Locations

The Locations page allows you to view and manage geographical locations associated with your contacts, providing both list and map visualization options.

Found under the Community section in the side navigation bar

Managing Parcel Numbers

Adding Parcel Numbers

  1. Navigate to the location’s edit page
  2. Locate the Parcel Numbers widget
  3. Enter the parcel number in the text field
  4. Click the plus sign (+) to add
  5. Multiple parcel numbers can be added to a single location

Adjusting Map Coordinates

Manual Coordinate Adjustment

The Map Coordinates widget shows the location’s current map pin position.

To adjust coordinates:

  1. Navigate to the location’s edit page
  2. Locate the Map Coordinates widget
  3. Enter the desired Latitude in the first text box
  4. Enter the desired Longitude in the second text box
  5. Click ‘Update Coordinates’
  6. The map pin will move to the new position

When to Adjust Coordinates

  • Incorrect automatic geocoding
  • Precise placement needed
  • Multiple buildings at address
  • Rural or new addresses
  • Service point differs from mailing address

Coordinate Format

Use decimal degrees format (e.g., 40.7128, -74.0060) Negative longitude for Western Hemisphere Negative latitude for Southern Hemisphere

Search and Filter

Search Criteria

Use the dropdown to search by:

  • Location name
  • Street address
  • Account number
  • Reference keys

Tag Filtering Options

  • Match All Selected Tags: Locations must have ALL selected tags
  • Match Any Selected Tag: Locations with ANY selected tag

Filter Persistence

Remember to click “Update Map View” after changing filters to refresh the display.

Boundary File Tags

Quick Actions

Add Location → Locations → Add Location
Toggle View → Switch between List/Map
Filter by Tags → Select tags → Update View
Adjust Coordinates → Edit Location → Map Coordinates

Important Considerations

Coordinate Accuracy

  • Verify GPS coordinates for critical locations
  • Manual adjustments override automatic geocoding
  • Test map pins after bulk imports

Data Relationships

Deleting a location does not delete associated contacts, but will remove the association.
